About Us
Hi, I'm Bruce Irwin owner and operator of Brutus Seafood. I was born and raised in Marathon, "Right in the heart of the Florida Keys". Following in my dad and his dad's footsteps I grew up commercial fishing. As soon as I graduated high school it was right to the back of my dad's commercial boat. At 22 I purchased my first commercial fishing boat, which I still own today, 25 years later. With this boat I produce Lobster, Stone Crabs, Grouper , Snapper and Dolphin. I was president of the local commercial fisherman's association for 5 years and also sit on several advisory panels for state and federal regulatory bodies. Having been involved in all aspects of the commercial fishing industry allows me to have a unique perspective.
